
Sleepy Eye, Minn. – October 13, 2025 — Christensen Farms has been awarded a Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MJSP) Grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). The funding will support a series of workforce training initiatives designed to upskill current employees and strengthen the future talent pipeline within the agriculture industry.
The grant will fund 12 targeted training programs focused on:
- Technical Upskilling for Maintenance & Reliability and Feed Milling teams
- Critical Safety Training related to OSHA compliance, mobile equipment operation, and electrical work
- Leadership Development in communication and business acumen for front-line field managers
- Spanish as a Second Language (SSL) training for Asset teams
“We’re excited to partner with South Central College through the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership grant to invest in the technical upskilling of our critical business services workforce,” said Jayme Enamorado, Training and Development Supervisor at Christensen Farms. “This collaboration not only strengthens our company but also supports sustainable growth and opportunity across rural Minnesota communities. Partnering with our local community college allows us to bring high-quality, industry-relevant training directly to the people who keep our business—and our communities—running strong.”
