Greg Howard

Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

Greg Howard serves as Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operations and business services, with direct senior-level leadership over marketing, production flow, nutrition and research. In addition, Greg serves as one of the representatives from Christensen Farms on the board of Triumph Foods, Christensen Farms’ integrated processing partner. Greg is a member of the Executive Committee and reports to the CEO, Glenn Stolt.

Greg’s focus is on handling the volatile nature of the commodity-based business, maintaining the trajectory of Christensen Farms. While dealing with the complexity of the business and its challenges, Greg looks to create a work environment where people feel like part of a family, take pride in their work and have fun while doing it. Greg strives to build a strong company by instilling ownership in everything Christensen Farms does, with everyone doing it. He helps others seek what is possible and approaches ideas with tenacity and an element of taking prudent risks.

Greg rejoined the company in 2010 and has been instrumental in helping Christensen Farms identify its core strategies and a number of key opportunities within the production system. Greg brings entrepreneurial based skills from his previous endeavors which include building a 45,000 sow, farrow-to-finish production system in Canada and the United States, his tenure in international sales and margin optimization positions within Maple Leaf Foods, and as a founder of Nutriquest, an innovation firm based out of Mason City, Iowa.

Greg earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and is a Licensed Professional Engineer.
