CHRISTENSEN FARMS NAMES CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

SLEEPY EYE, MINN. – Christensen Farms & Feedlots, Inc. announced that Matthew Bremer has been named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), effective April 10, 2017.

“Matt joins Christensen Farms with nearly 25 years of experience across a wide variety of businesses leading finance, accounting and operational teams,” said Glenn L. Stolt, Chief Executive Officer.  “He has a solid track record of working closely with business leaders to improve the existing operating platform while pursuing future strategic and operational objectives.  He is a welcomed addition to an already strong team and will play a critical role in the future success of Christensen Farms.”

Prior to joining Christensen Farms, Mr. Bremer held the position of CFO at Gold N’ Plump Company (“GNP”), a $500 million poultry slaughtering and processing company located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Prior to GNP, Bremer also spent time with other companies, including Nash Finch, a Minnesota based grocery retailer and wholesaler, The Bama Companies, an Oklahoma based family-owned baked goods manufacturer and Del Monte Foods, a San Francisco based fruit and vegetable manufacturer. Mr. Bremer holds a BA degree in Mathematics, Management and Philosophy from St. John’s University and a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Corporate Finance and Strategy from the School of Management at Yale University.

“The history of Christensen Farms, the family’s commitment to growing the business, the strong global outlook for the pork sector and a talented team of senior leaders were all instrumental factors in attracting me to join the company,” said Bremer.  “I look forward to working with the team to drive strong business results, while maintaining the company’s strong commitment to animal welfare and producing safe quality pork products.”
